Daniel Medinger

Daniel Medinger

Owner/President, Advertising Media Plus

Daniel Medinger, president of AMPs, has served in media since 1975. After completing his Masters of Arts at Marquette University, he worked for several years in weekly and daily newspapers and radio. For more than three decades, he worked closely with the Catholic community – locally, nationally and internationally – communicating its story, mission, challenges and opportunities. He served in the Diocese of La Crosse (WI), Archdiocese of St. Paul and Archdiocese of Baltimore. In 1986, he was named CEO of the Cathedral Foundation, a Catholic non-profit chartered with the State of Maryland, which produced the archdiocesan newspaper, The Catholic Review, which he led as associate publisher and editor. He re-formed the Cathedral Foundation into a “Catholic communications company in service of the church” which was recognized for product excellence and financial achievement. Notable initiatives included adding product lines, such as the acquisition of a print shop, starting a book publishing division, publishing L’Osservatore Romano for the United States and Canada and the quarterly magazine, Catholic International, providing communications consultations and implementation services for dioceses and religious organizations and purchasing an advertising agency which represented Catholic newspapers, magazines and websites in the United States. In 2009, Mr. Medinger and his wife, Patti, purchased AMPs, which he had been managing since 2001.

Mr. Medinger is an award winning journalist from several media groups. He also has been honored for promotion and business excellence.

Equally comfortable assisting religious organizations, non-profits and for-profit groups, Mr. Medinger brings enthusiasm, energy, experience and confidence to all tasks.
